Facing the development needs of the equipment manufacturing industry in Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta region, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering aims at cultivating advanced technology application talents. Currently, there are 4 undergraduate majors in mechanical design and manufacturing, automation, mechatronics, vehicle engineering, and automotive service. Intelligent manufacturing engineering will be opened in 2019. Among them, the major of mechanical design and manufacturing and automation is listed as a national specialty specialty construction site, the major of mechanical design and manufacturing and automation is listed as an outstanding engineer education training program project of the Ministry of Education, and the major of mechanical and electrical engineering is listed as a pilot application undergraduate in Shanghai profession.

The college includes departments of mechanical design and manufacturing, mechatronics, vehicle engineering, automotive service, and experimental teaching centers.
